About Our Owner
Hi, I’m Nili Simhai— the Lead Gardener, Educator, and Naturalist at Simhai Solutions. With 30 years of experience working at the crossroads of land, spirit, and community, I’m passionate about building deeper connections between people and the ecosystems we all call home.
Throughout my life, I’ve worked to cultivate garden spaces that honor the needs of the people who live and work on this land. Whether your space is your personal sanctuary, the proud entrance of your business, a play area for kids and dogs, or a learning area for students, I work with you to make it beautiful and delightful to the senses.
I’m committed to restoring the balance between human activity and the natural world. We begin by knowing the names of a few of the plants, insects, and animals who live with us and extending our gardening goals to include some of their needs. To support you in this, I am currently pursuing a Certificate in Native Plants, with an Advanced Certificate in Horticulture from the Native Plant Trust.
Before launching Simhai Solutions, I served as the Director of Education at Abundance Farm, a vibrant community farm and food justice initiative in Northampton, MA. For 17 years prior to that, I ran an environmental education program called Teva which operated in New England and the Mid-Atlantic Region. My background in the nonprofit sector has equipped me with a knack for problem-solving and a can-do approach. I love partnering with clients to tackle challenges, foster sustainability, and build resilience for the future.
